I’m Sharady Richardson, a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and the CEO and founder of Sunshine ABA Therapy. Since 2018, I've dedicated my career to supporting children and young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) through my neurodivergent affirming practice.
My journey with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) began in high school while working as a nanny for a boy with autism. This experience ignited my passion for advocacy and highlighted the need for resources that truly represent the diverse experiences within ASD. Through my practice at Sunshine ABA Therapy, particularly in school, home, and community settings, where parents, siblings, and peers play a crucial role, I saw a significant need for such resources. This realization led me to create the “Rhetters the Red Panda” series, where each book introduces a new friend with a unique characteristic of ASD. Through these stories, I aim to foster understanding and empathy, helping children learn about ASD in a relatable and engaging way. My books are perfect for preschools, siblings, friends, cousins, and classrooms, offering a gentle and engaging way to explain Autism Spectrum Disorder and promote acceptance among young readers.
As an author, my goal is to promote inclusivity, reduce bullying, and build a more compassionate world. In addition to my professional work, I’m a devoted mom of four, a loving wife, and a committed Christian.
